The universities are now recognizing their importance and some of them have even started courses that involve no classroom study and has lectures in the form of podcasts. This helps them to target students globally who can view lectures and experiments on the Itunes U.

Thus with Itunes U people have freedom to access education and it not only benefits the students but also professors from the universities can benefit from them as well. However the research concluding that Itunes U proves as a better tool rather than classroom only study is yet to be verified because the research was carried out on a single lecture and not over a semester. But so far it looks as if Itunes U is an engaging tool for students to have flexibility over when and where they study.
